independence day

Two weeks ago, we celebrated our Independence Day on August 17. Our nation's independence day itself was on August 17, 1945. Declared by our FoundingFathers, Sukarno and Moh. Hatta. They're then elected to be the first President and Vice President of Indonesia.
I love when it comes to celebrating independence day. There are many games and event all around the country.

Let me tell you about the games. First, there is Lomba Makan Kerupuk (Crackers/chips Eating Game). Each of the Kerupuks are tied and hung on a piece of string, leveled head high. The contestants then stand below designated kerupuk and try to eat it as fast as they can before the time ended. The first to gulp the kerupuk wins. You can see from the picture, kerupuks wiggled and waggled pushed by the contestants trying to eat them, not to mentioned the wind added a handicap bonus. Try this game with crackers, big ones, and have lots of fun.

Here's my sister cheering her friends, showing her smile. Cute isn't she :D .

i'll tell you about the other games later on.
